Is God glorified (in a non-salvific way) by any good on the earth? (i.e. does he derive any pleasure whatsoever from Barry Bonds hitting a homer?)

I think that God is definitely glorified by all things- Including a bay shot. The Lord delights in the movements of his creation because they- we- all mirror a part of what it means to be an all-glorious God who is not only perfect but beautiful in all things. I think that our lives, although stained and desperately warped by our own sinfulness and rebellion, still have a piece of what it means to be sons of God and a part of the divine nature proclaiming his glory all the while.
